The ÆON
Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre is a shopping mall built on
a 26-acre (110,000 m2) landmass with a gross
built-up floor area of approximately 2,100,000 square
feet (195,000 m2). Also popularly known as
Jusco Bukit Tinggi, the shopping mall is strategically
located in the modern township of Bandar Bukit Tinggi,
the hub of southern Klang in the state of Selangor,
Malaysia.
The
RM350 million (approximately US$111 million) shopping
mall opened its doors on 24 November 2007. With the
theme "Experience The Difference", the AEON Bukit Tinggi
Shopping Centre was officially opened by the Sultan of
Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah on 31 January
2008. It is the largest ÆON (JUSCO) shopping centre in
Malaysia and Southeast Asia (and third largest in Asia).
The shopping complex has over 5,000 car park bays and
the first hour of parking is free of charge. The car
park is operational round the clock.
The
AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre has a gross lettable/leasable
area of one million square feet, making it one of the
largest shopping malls in the country. The Jusco store
is the anchor tenant. Restaurants, cafes, specialty and
services stores, food court, leisure and entertainment
stores, cinemas, sports and book stores can be found in
the shopping mall, which operates daily from 10am till
10.30pm. Both the cinemas and the karaoke outlet operate
until early morning while the urban gymnasium opens from
6.30am onwards on the weekdays.
Though
there ain’t designer labels like Armani or Louis Vuitton,
Jusco Bukit Tinggi has all the familiar names from
household products to restaurants and cafes. Just to
name a few, there are Starbucks, McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza
Hut, Kenny Rogers, Kim Gary, Big Apple Donuts, The
Windmill, Old Town White Coffee, Pastamania, Harvey
Norman, The Body Shop, Hush Puppies, G2000, Levi’s,
Fitness First, Greenbox and TGV Cinemas, and of course,
Jusco Departmental Stores and Supermarket. What else do
you need, really?

Clothing Shopping Tips |

Most
women relish the opportunity to spend a day at the mall,
perusing store windows and racks, chatting with friends,
and bringing home a wardrobe of new, stylish clothes.
Still, some of the excitement of clothing shopping
inevitably wears off when the credit card statements
arrive. Follow these three steps to make sure your next
shopping outing doesn’t break the bank.
Be prepared when you go shopping. Spur of
the moment purchases are fine for small items,
but they often lead to buyer's remorse. Before
hitting the mall, take stock of what items are
sorely missing from your closet and how much you
can realistically spend. Be sure to dress
comfortably and give yourself plenty of time in
the stores. This will allow you to make
decisions out of reason, not rush.
While shopping, stay focused on the clothing
items you need. You may want to try shopping
alone to avoid the distraction of friends.
Always try on clothes in front of a three-way
mirror and have a definite purpose in mind for
each purchase. Keep in mind the body you have
right now and don't be tempted to buy clothes
for the body you wish you had. If you find a
knowledgeable salesperson, don't be afraid to
tell her what you are looking for. She'll be
able to help you find the highest quality
clothes for your budget, and she may even alert
you to upcoming sales.
As you make decisions, remember that
clothing shopping should be an investment. You
should buy clothes of high quality that will
last for many years. You may also want to buy
items of clothing in complete outfits so you
know that you will definitely wear them. If you
find a pair of pants or a shirt that fits
perfectly, feel free to buy the item in
multiples. That perfect fit could be difficult
to find again on your next shopping venture.
