TUGU KERIS
Tugu Keris
adalah merupakan Tugu Peringatan Jubli Perak pemerintahan DYMM
Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj. Tugu Keris ini telah
dirasmikan sendiri oleh baginda sultan pada hari Isnin, 30
September 1985.

Tugu Keris (Kris Monument) -
A towering silver Keris (the Malay crooked dagger) welcomes
visitors who come to Klang via the Federal Highway. It can be
seen on the left hand side of the highway as you pass the Sungai
Rasau toll plaza. The monument was erected to celebrate the
Silver Jubilee of the Sultan of Selangor's intallation in 1985.
Its construction was ordered by the late Sultan of Selangor,
Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah to commemorate the
Silver Jubilee of his reign on 22 September 1985.The
Keris was chosen since it depicts power, strength and unity.

A kris is a dagger noted for its
wavy blade, which is to be feared for the excruciating pain of
the undulations during a stabbing. Kris were used in the island
arcs from the Malay Peninsula, through Indonesia, to Mindanao,
in the Philippines.
